FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards Finals – an update on plans in recognition of the impact of COVID-19

We feel it is vital to recognise past success, in order to help re-build the future and, with this in mind, we are determined to follow through with our plan to complete the 2020 FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards.  We have to balance this with continual due diligence, taking into account the impact of Covid-19 and following government and health guidance.

At this moment, we are proposing to delay the remaining FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards 2020 Finals until the first quarter of 2021.  We hope to bring all the 2020 finalists together in London in May 2021. We hope that this will  not only recognise their business achievements but also provide guidance and tools to help them to take their businesses forward.

We recognise the impact this situation is having on all small businesses and FSB is working hard to support you during these challenging times. This includes delivering hundreds of webinars and online networking events, as well as continuing to campaign on behalf of small businesses and the self-employed to governments. FSB provides a wealth of advice and resources on at www.fsb.org.uk

We will, of course, continue to monitor the situation, and give plenty of advanced notice when final arrangements have been made. If in the meantime, if you would like to speak to us direct about the Awards, please don’t hesitate to email us at fsbevents@fsb.org.uk

It’s been thrilling to see so many London businesses enthusiastically take part in our awards and the sheer scale and diversity of those who entered is a testimony to the vitality of the small business community in London.  The best of luck to all our winners for the UK national award finals.”

As a Muslim mother, Mariam was fed up of not being able to find the right gifts or adjusting high street items to make them more Muslim friendly when gifting friends and family. She remembers picking up a Christmas 'stocking filler' and checking the expiry date, to see if it would still be in date by Eid. So she sought to fill this niche for high quality gifts which align with and reflect Islamic beliefs whilst at the same time appeal to Muslim consumers, who are trying to find a balance between their faith and modern society.
